TAROT
One tarot card. A whole year of staying with it.
You can calculated your year card in a 60 seconds but living with it all year is a whole other matter.
The work of staying in relationship, in intimacy & mentorship, with your yearly card is to carry it as a companion through the ups and downs of the next four seasons.
But a year is a long time. We forget. Our card falls back into the deck. Life sweeps us up.
I’ve spent enough time observing people live their year cards to see the themes play out and the lessons arrive, whether they knew their card or worked with it intentionally… or not.
But knowing, and staying with, your yearly tarot card gives you a chance to meet what’s happening while you’re still in it.
In 2020 I began looking up my yearly card, but then forgetting all about it. Like most tarot learners, I was busy pulling new Celtic cross spreads every month, and finding Pinterest spreads for every life occurrence (not an issue, simply tarot practicing had me swiftly moving from spread to spread to spread).
It wasn’t until 2022 that I really sat with and kept intentionally coming back to my yearly card (The Wheel of Fortune). Which prepared me for 2025 and living out my Death card year.
Without The Death card’s spiritual companionship, I’m not sure I would have…
Been as willing to let the things in my life that were outdated to whither… or been as active a participant in my own ego deaths around were I lacked skills… or allowed myself to deeply feel into my losses & griefs… or been let my old business “fail” and close with my leadership, rather than my resistance or denial.
Every year, working with my yearly card has become a more and more powerful practice. AND, I want to support you to live into those experiences, too.
By the end of the year, you’ll have an experience & understanding of tarot that no guidebook could have handed you.
